tw: too sad and negative life of mine (ig) don't read if ure not ready

this is my first time wrapping my year up in words. tho idk exactly what to say, after so many hatreds and heart-wrenching that had happened. hindi enough ang kahit na anong salita para i-tamper yung nararamdaman ko ngayon.

i tried to stay positive, entering 2024 with hope and faith that this year might align with all my heart's desire. after several months, i experienced one of my main heartbreak for this year. tried to stand up and be still after a life failure and self crisis, but the month after, i gained a small strength to still fight back for my dreams. tried to figure myself out in a different manner and in a different field.

enjoyed months of being privileged from my own resources. enjoyed life amidst the endless self-pity and self-doubt kasi sino ba naman ako? felt like a nobody parin, but at least, at some point, i have a platform to prove myself (but still, endless feeling of self failure but ok, we don't have a choice ok?)

ber months came, i thought na somehow, in my own little way, i'll find my own way. but nah, it didn't happen. another life failure, then the worst was, we lost papa. everything is falling apart. no words can explain how hard it was, na until now, naiiyak parin ako. there's no escape for grief and loss. i'm still puzzled on how to face life without papa knowing na hindi pa ako successful, hindi pa ako okay, hindi pa ako stable, hindi pa ako nakakabawi and wala pa akong napapatunayan.

nakakaguilty maging masaya? parang hindi ko deserve. after everything that happened, fam, workmates and si vin lang naging company ko. idk, wala akong energy to please people and mas naging aloof pa ako with convos and relationships.

Of weekends and things in betweeen...

The thing with having your own place is that when it's hot and humid, you simply run the airconditioner and walk around your unit, naked. of course, I had the drapes spread across less a snooty neighbor from the other building report me for exposing myself.

Saturday came and like any struggling adult out there, it meant errands. But first, lunch. Again, we should normalize and respect people who eat their meals alone. Period.

I went to Watami to satisfy my sashimi cravings and boy, it was a bit expensive. although hindi naman sya Wolfgangs or Antonios young pricing, still it was mahal (sorry na) I ordered a plate of their salmon which was really good mind you (because of the taba) and paired it with ebi tempura which failed my expectations given the price lol.

After lunch, i went to my favorite barber shop for a haircut and had a pedicure. the barber did wonders and the post-cut massage was a welcome relief. manang rose who does my toenails knows I hate the feeling of nail files swiping and applying gamot na pula to make one's feet look rosy red. they know my peculiarities well and i both gave them hefty tips after. done with pampering i did groceries to replenish my pantry. as you can see, if you reach my age, CheezWhiz is essential and so are sulfur soaps to thoroughly wash off bacteria, and yes, a little bit of alcohol wont hurt. the rest of my cart are the usual staples.

the rest of the afternoon was spent solitary with me playing some video games only to realize that my Switch controller is probably busted as the left trigger does not seem to function as it should.

by 5pm i decided to leave the city and be at my parent's house for the weekend. i missed them especially my adopted siblings who now call me "ahiya" which is "elder" brother in Chinese.

early dinner, done. the rest of the family decided to watch The House of Dragons and Piolo Pascual's Mallari since my kuya lent us his projector to give that cinema effect (since we are still scared shit to go to the movies lol) I sat down for a couple of minutes but left since I was already sleepy.

I personally like the idea of Buck x Tommy having a small, quick ceremony in Vegas. Bobby has been a huge influence on Buck, and deciding to just get hitched in Vegas is the Buck version of a courthouse wedding. Maddie, Chim, and Jee Yun would be there, but it’d be a small, quick, and largely undramatic affair.

The rest of the 118 find out after someone else refers to Tommy as Buck’s husband. Or, alternatively, when Buck drops a “That’s my husband right there” on the job when he’s proud of Tommy. Or… he drops a “Sorry, I’m married,” when someone hits on him.

Now, this *wouldn’t* be because Buck and Tommy were keeping anything from anyone. They thought they were quite open and obvious about it. Chim knows ffs! He was there! I also feel like a proposal would have the same vibe. No pre-proposal ring shopping or detailed planning for the perfect night. Gumising ako ng 5am. Normally talaga 6:30am pa ako nagigising siguro nasanay ako sa ganoon gising sa pag rerelieve ko sa batangas branch.

7:52am na yata ako nakapag time in sa office. Kabado pa ako nito dahil advance ang pinag titime inan namin tapos traffic pa.

First time gamitin ng whole day yung isa kong phone. Mostly kasi yung isa kong phone ang gamit ko dahil mas matagal ang battery niya. Pero main phone ko naman ito. (Gulo ba?)

mmm yeah Tim likes to pull a fast one on us with stuff like that so I don't even dare speculating what he'll come up with but if we got to have a breakup I do think the Monica/Richard treatment would work, except Tommy would come back to be Buck's friend after things calmed down, since Oliver mentioned it too that he is now an integral part of who Buck is and it would be good for him to hang around, not to mention the largely positive reaction of the fans.

having that convo just in general could go a lot of ways though, especially so early into the relationship.

Akatsuki no Yona Chapter 242 Spoilers

(rough translation summary, take it with a grain of salt)

So the 3 dragons became dragons for real. when one of the dragons approached Kyoga, he shown his face and it's Jaeha, a soldier shoot an arrow thinking he bout to attack Kyoga, but the dragons suddenly disappeared.

Kyoga told everyone what happened. they're all confused, Keishuk asked if they get violent whenever they become dragon, Kija thinks since they're weak and away from the castle, they just protected themselves but couldn't control their powers.

Kija says it also happened at Xing, Kouren agreed and explained it was like they were protecting Yona that time. Yona remembers the dragon voice she heard must be Jaeha and it was like screaming, she wanna go find them soon!

a soldier confirmed they saw Chagol and Gen. Ran's dead bodies. Kija asked if Chagol has the chalice but there's nothing. Suwon asked Kija if he can locate the dragons but he can't sense them anymore. Suwon says then there's no way to find them, Kija startled and asked him to calm down, but Suwon wanna take this opportunity. now Yuukyo, South Kai capital is under Kouka, Suwon wanna move forward immediately.

Geuntae told Suwon earth tribe and whole Kouka troops are dead tired, Hiryuu Castle was burned down, Kuuto in turmoil bcoz of King's absence, they can't go any further. But Suwon be like, NOPE!!! now's the time to settle this long standing dispute!

Suwon/Keishuk/Judo convo:

Keishuk's surprised with Geuntae's statement but Judo agrees Earth Tribe paid most sacrifices in this war, Keishuk thinks he's being unusual kind.

Keishuk told Suwon they need to have another search party for the dragons. but Suwon just smile and says he wanna rest and they should too. other soldiers celebrating and giving Yona some food and they're so happy Yona leads the army.

HakYona convo:

Yona can't hide her worries, she thinks everyone wants her to lead the army even tho she haven't done much in the war but Hak disagreed and told she did more than enough.

Yona remember her promise to Suwon that she'll support him til the war is over, but she wanted to look for Jaeha, Shinah and Zeno too.

Yona finally able to sleep. Yun told Hak that Kija is also bout to sleep, he actually wanna jump out of his bed but couldn't walk with his injured legs. Yun's also worried for the dragons but Hak assures him to not worry they'll look for a trace while marching.

Hak's bout to go to wash his face, but saw a person in cloak crouching. he asked if he's ok, he gonna call a medic. person says don't call anyone and calls Hak's name. it's Suwon! Hak is so in shock!
